Italian  Language  Classes & Resource Centre

adult Italian classes commence four times a year for beginner, intermediate, and advanced language students

Since its establishment in 1967 Co.As.It. has been involved in the teaching of the Italian Language which is today one of the major activities of the organisation.

Using Prego! An Invitation to Italian (McGraw-Hill Publishers, 7th and 8th editions), and Arrivederci 1: for English speakers : a multimedia Italian course : student's book & workbook  (Edizioni Edilingua) as the prescribed texts, the four strands of listening, speaking, reading and writing are incorporated in our course.

Levels range from Beginners through to Intermediate and onto Advanced. Conversation classes are conducted at all levels giving students a further opportunity to improve fluency while revising grammar.

To view full details of grammar and vocabulary, that are part of the course read the Pathway for Adult Classes Program.

Italian for Travellers is ideal for those intending to travel to Italy and who have no or little understanding of the Italian language. There is only a very brief grammar focus as this course is only for ten weeks duration. Language covered includes the varying situations that tourists are likely to encounter, as well as emergency terms and phrases.

Consolidation classes are bridging classes and are inserted whenever necessary, to ensure that a smooth transition occurs between levels.

From time to time, informal gatherings may be held, enabling students to immerse themselves in the Italian language. These events may include film screenings. These events are only offered to currently enrolled students.
